Aerobic Exercise (Cardio Exercise) :-
Aerobic exercise is a type of physical exercise which generates more amount of energy as per demand by physical activity by the help of oxygen i.e aerobic respiration.
- Aerobic exercise increases heart rate along with breathing rate.
- It leads to increase in blood pressure and blood circulation rate in body.
- It helps in increasing metabolic rate of body.
- It helps in restoring normal metabolic state of body.
- It results in stronger immunity of body.
- It is helpful in eliminating extra body fat.
Complications In Aerobic Exercise:-
Complications are the physical and mental problems which may be observed during aerobic exercise. Some of complications are listed below :-
- Chest pain (Angina) :- During aerobic exercise, you may feel chest pain. It is due to increased heart function and due to oxygen deficiency in heart muscles. Normal chest pain is common but in case of severe chest pain take rest immediately and consult to a doctor.
- Cramps :- Cramps are the involuntary muscle contraction which may be very painful. During aerobic or cardio exercise , muscles undergoes strenuous exercise and dehydration, due to which there is a stretching or tearing of a muscle or tendon(tissue connecting muscle to bone).
- Hemorrhage :- Hemorrhage is the leakage of blood vessels inside our body. During aerobic or cardio exercise , blood flow increases multiple times , so there is a chance of damaging the walls of blood vessels which may lead to hemorrhage.It may be fatal. Hence before doing cardio exercise ensure your health condition.This problem generally occurs in older people performing cardio exercise.
- Suffocation :- Suffocation may be stated as problem in breathing or it may be defined as deficiency of oxygen in body or surrounding air. Deficiency of oxygen may be due to increased demand of oxygen or due to deficiency of oxygen at the site of exercise. If you are feeling suffocation then take a rest and go to a place where you can get fresh air.Use chin up and racked farmer carry exercise to eliminate suffocation problems.
- Skin disease :- Skin disease due to cardio or aerobic exercise includes rashes, fungal infection, bacterial infection, ringworm etc. , these problems are supported by heavy sweating during cardio or aerobic exercise.To get rid of these problems, take a bath with antiseptic after an hour of aerobic exercise.
- Joint pain :- You may feel joint pain during cardio or aerobic exercise ,since cardio exercise involves heavy physical activities which may create pressure on joints results in joint pain.To avoid joint pain replace your pain creating exercise with other aerobic exercise of same category.Ex-replace your stairs exercise with running.
- Rise in body temperature :- Increase in body temperature during cardio exercise is a common process but excess rise in body temperature may be dangerous, in such cases consult with dietitian and doctor.
- Back pain :- Performing heavy aerobic exercise may cause back pain.Back pain generally occurs due to extensive exercise which impacts backbone.If you suffer back pain problems then try to avoid those exercise.Ex- crunches can cause back pain.
- Unconsciousness :- Sometimes during heavy aerobic exercise you may feel unconsciousness due to inadequate blood supply to brain or may be oxygen deficiency in body organs especially brain. When you feel unconsciousness ,take a rest for a while.
- Thirstiness :- During cardio exercise you may feel thirstiness due to heavy water loss from body in form of sweat.So take small amount of water during aerobic exercise in case you feel thirstiness.
- Muscle damage :- Extensive aerobic exercise may also damage muscle.Due to dehydration of muscles and continuation of aerobic exercise may result in muscle damage.So go with sports drink and salty snacks during aerobic exercise.
